Keep Calm & Carry On

I've decided I want to live in a Carry On Film.  A brighter, uber colourful, kitschtastic version of the real world where nothing bad ever really happens and tense situations always end with a bun fight

I'd go back to Carry On Loving and live in this flat

Isn't it perfect?

Oh but I love Esme Crowfoot's pink palace too

I'd let the philandering old men and young boobalicious nymphettes get on with it

I'd be busy having cocktails in this bar every night

Fnaar!

Joan Hickson is a legend!

I want to live in Carry On world.  Anyone want to join me?

  1. YES!!! I love Carry On's so very much, I've watched them from a very tender age, which probably warped my sense of humour and decency. Carry On Loving is one of my faves "if those skirts get any shorter they'll have two more cheeks to power ahgagagagga" quoth Sid James. XXXXXX

    1. Ha ha, I knew you'd like this one! I was also brought on them as it were. My older sister used to let me watch them even though my mum was quite the prude. We used to wind her up something rotten. Just made them seem even more delicious somehow!! xxx

  2. I love them, I watch them over and over again as they're constantly on one of the freeview ITV channels. It must be where I get my love of mid-century kitsch from as both my Grandma and Mum were into Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and William Morris and I didn't have any other relatives. Carry On Camping's my favourite, I was nearing crying with envy over an Afghan one of the ravers was wearing when it was repeated on Sunday afternoon! xxx

  3. Oh I love Carry On films, but I must confess, only the contemporary ones, I can't be bothered with the historical ones.

  4. Oh I love Carry on films! As a child, I used to live in hope that they would be on in the school holidays, especially Christmas. My favourites were always Carry on follow that camel and Carry on Doctor! We had Carry-on camping on video and carry on Matron which we watched all the time! So much fun, so silly! Love all the regulars, especially Jim Dale!!!

Those sets are fab, aren't they, and the boobs, good lord look at the boobs! You, me and Helga would fit right in!
I watched them all as a kid. Carry on Screaming probably counts as a historical one but you gotta love Fenella Fielding right? xxxxxx

  7. I used to work in an old people's home and then a pub when I was a teenager so have had enough of randy old men trying to pinch my bum - but you make it sound a bit more appealing. Isn't that our Miss Simmonds in the purple and fishnets?!

I would like to work at WC Boggs Lav Factory because they're always on strike or be a Glamcabs driver just to wear the uniform. We could holiday in Elsbels or have a Works Outing.

  12. Esme Crowfoot's house is GLORIOUS!!! I would love to have a house like that too. Although Mr. Coco would never go for pink walls so I suppose I would have to switch them out for mint green. =D
