Red wine will stain, remember

Here's what I wore on Tuesday night when Mr N and I decided to try out one of our local restaurants.  It was a spur of the moment, lets take advantage of a child free night thing, and as is often the case with spontaneity, it turned out to be great!

We sneaked across to the park over the road to take some pics before it got dark.  As it happened, the light was perfect.

Wow, my feet are interesting!

Strike a pose there's nothing to it

Is anyone looking?  Quick snap me now!

And here's what we ate (and drank)

My apologies to the vegetarians and recovering alcoholics out there but the steak was gawjus and so was the wine!!

I snapped a picture of the church across the road before we went home

It just looked so pretty

I wore

Dress - vintage
Vintage vanity case as handbag - charity shop
Sandals - Dorothy Perkins

Got loads of thrifty treasures to share when I get around to photographing them!

See you soon

Lucy x

  3. Thanks for nipping round to mine. Reason I asked is because I went for a pedicure last week and wanted rainbow nails like you have. I was told its a young thing........they advised against it. I am nearly 37. Gutted ain't the word. You suit it, I wondered if you were in your early twenties!!!!
Btw I had all the other ladybird books!!! I have 124 now!

    1. That is so rude! Not to mention UTTER NONSENSE. How dare they!!! You're never too old for rainbow nails or to wear whatever the hell you like. I thought you were about the same age as me, goodness knows what they would think of the way I dress. Bet they were sunbed tanned wannabe WAGS. Who in their right mind would care what they say anyway! ;/

    2. Holy crap - don't go there again! Who are they, the pedicure police? I'm 35 and have ludicrous nails on a daily basis BECAUSE I LIKE IT. A young thing indeed, what rubbish. Probably they just couldn't be bothered.

    3. I wonder if they're the same people that my friend went to and asked for a Brazillian and they reacted as if she's asked for a massage with a happy ending. Grr, they sound like boring old orange hags, get rainbow nails - NOW!

I absolutely love your toe nails and sandals and I love the vanity case used as a handbag. I have a gorgeous blue one with a bright red lining and I keep all my stationery in it...I might give it an airing outdoors now, inspired by yours. Love the dress too. xx
