Fire, Walk With Me

I love Fridays.  Even though it's a work day it's probably my favourite day of the week and I like nothing more than to take off the day, get into my jammies and snuggle up with Mr N and some good viewing!

Today, I am particularly excited as we received this in the post

I have been wanting to watch the TV series of this for a while now.  I was too young to watch this when it originally aired but I've become quite interested in the work of David Lynch recently.  We don't watch a lot of TV in this household, primarily because the vast majority of it is total dross, so it's great when you discover a gem like this from the past.  I was starting to think I'd never find anything to replace my West Wing addiction!

We initially put this in our rental queue with Lovefilm but it turns out they only send you one disc at a time.  No good for an avid and impatient consumer like me.  We watched the pilot episode and episode 1 last week and I was hooked immediately.  I know I'm a little late to the party with this one, and many of you will have already seen this so no spoilers please, this is one I want to get my teeth into! :)

I'll leave you with the instantly recognisable theme tune.  I love the fact that David Lynch wrote the lyrics for this.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

  1. Oh wow!! I'm about doing a crazy Twin Peaks inspired post!!
I love it! So cool that I meet such interesting persons to share my interests with, but too bad that they are so far !!
    Have a wonderful Lynchian night!!

  2. Wow, I can't wait to read your post. I'm sure it'll be worth waiting for. As interesting and visually arresting as is your modus operandi! xx

  3. Unfortunately I wasn't too young!!!
My husband and I were addicted to this when it was first on telly.
(I have to say though, we were pretty young at the time. Ha!)
It will be interesting to read what you think when you've watched the whole series.

  4. Ooh I did enjoy this first time around (and was pretty young too!!!) I've never seen it since. I do remember everyone talking about it though and I think you either loved it or hated it. PS I love your kitchen, it's gorgeous. My units are the same blue but I love yours with the black and white floor. :-)x

  5. I loved Twin Peaks! It used to be on BBC 2 on a Tuesday night and was a highlight of the week. I'm dying to know what you thought of it. Have a smashing weekend. xxx

  6. I've never seen "Twin Peaks," but it's definitely on my to-see list! I've only heard cool/weird things about it.

Ah, thank you for commenting. You've made my day :)
